Hurricane Irene blamed for death of elderly Maryland woman

Anne Bell, an 85-year-old woman, was killed during Hurricane Irene when a tree fell through her house. According to reports, Bell was killed when high winds knocked a tree in a chimney which fell onto the glass porch where Bell was sitting.
Bell and her son were sitting in the glass room which had an auxiliary power source since the rest of the house had lost power. Bell was taken to the hospital for severe head trauma where she later died.
