Former aikido karate teacher Jorge Raul Allica has been charged with multiple counts of sexual offenses. Montgomery County police officers are still investigating the allegations involving Allica and several of his former students. On January 29, Allica also known as George Paul Allica was arrested by detectives and charged. Back in September, the police discovered that one of Allica’s students at the Aikido Dojo was repeatedly victimized between the years 1984 and 1994. Allica also engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a young male, who was a minor at the time. Allica was a tutor and coach to the boy (in another sport and academic subject). The incidents of sexual abuse took place at Allica’s home, then in Silver Spring and Chevy Chase. A third victim was identified during this investigation. There is the possibility of other unidentified victims. Allica was an instructor at the Aikido Shobuken Dojo between 1983 through 1994. He also taught in Prince George’s County Public Schools between 1989 and 1991.
