According to emergency officials, six children were taken to a hospital from a camp located in Harford County after someone sprayed deer repellant into the camp’s air-conditioning unit.

An emergency services spokesperson said a hazardous materials response team was called to Camp Wo-Me-To on Tuesday night where a group of children were experiencing eye and respiratory irritation.

Six campers were taken to a local hospital, and another 12 campers were washed down by the hazardous materials team.

It is not clear whether the incident was a practical joke, or whether the sprayer had malicious intent.
