The River Thames in London on Sunday was an exhibition of steamboats, tugs, speedboats and historic vessels fashioned for Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. The multinational celebration marked the 60th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom to the thrones of seven countries. The 86-year-old queen joined the armada of 1,000 boats in an elaborate royal celebration as revelers, in the midst of rainfall, commemorated the occasion by cheerfully waving flags and popping bottles of champagne.
