Former pro basketball player Earvin “Magic” Johnson has teamed up with rapper Common to launch his new program aimed at helping “at-risk” kids.
Plans for the “Friends of Magic” program were announced Wednesday. The objective is to assist at-risk youth in graduating high school.
The program’s launch was held at Magic Johnson Bridgescape Academy in Chicago. Amongst the attendees was Illinois Governor Pat Quinn.
