Pop star Lady Gaga was forced to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball tour when it was determined she had to undergo hip surgery to repair a labral tear. She is now elated to report that surgery was successful and she can now focus on getting back to normal.
“As they wheeled me into surgery,” she wrote in a blog on her fan page, “I thought about all of your pain and perseverance, your unique family situations, school environments, health issues, homelessness, identity struggles. So I thought to myself, ‘I’m alive; I’m living my dream.’ This is just a bump in the road.”
She is expected to make a full recovery.
