Bob Geldof has announced that 30th anniversary version of the Band Aid charity single “Do They Know It’s Christmas” will be recorded to raise money in aid of Ebola response. Geldof, one of the original Band Aid organizers, commented on the “immensity of bravery” of those fighting Ebola in the West African crisis zone. Some of those involved in the original project will be joined by One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Ellie Goulding, U2’s Bono and Coldplay’s Chris Martin, among others. The track is being recorded this weekend in London at the same studios as the original. CNN reports that some lyrics may be changed to address the current project’s focus.
