Denzel Washington will narrate a PBS documentary on the 1963 March on Washington during the civil rights era.

PBS told Television Critics Association that Washington has just completed taping his narration for the film “The March”, which airs on Aug. 27, the day after the 50th anniversary of the march that included Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech.

The documentary includes march participants such as Clarence Jones, a King aide; Joyce Ladner, field secretary for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee; and Clayborne Carson, a Stanford history professor.
