Rock star Bret Michaels and his girlfriend of 18 years have broken up. Poison’s lead vocalist and Kristi Gibson had been engaged for two years. Michaels proposed to Gibson during the finale of his VH1 reality show, “Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It,” in 2010. A representative for the 49-year-old “Every Rose Has Its Thorn” singer wrote in a statement, “Although the couple have separated they remain great friends.”
The two have daughters Raine Elizabeth and Jorja Bleu together. Michaels and Gibson “are committed to jointly raising their two daughters,” said Michaels’ representative.
