Russian President Vladimir Putin, 71, won the country’s election on Sunday marking the start of a fifth term. He will serve a new six-year term. Since 1999 Putin has been in power serving as president or prime minister of Russia.
“Of course, we have lots of tasks ahead. But I want to make it clear for everyone: When we were consolidated, no one has ever managed to frighten us, to suppress our will and our self-conscience,” said Putin. “They failed in the past and they will fail in the future.”
