UVA fraternity sues Rolling Stone for $25 million

The Phi Kappa Psi branch at UVA is suing magazine Rolling Stone for defamation after an article was published late last year entitled “A Rape on Campus: A Brutal Assault and Struggle for Justice at UVA,” saying that the piece made the fraternity, its members, and some of the university heads  “the object of an avalanche of condemnation worldwide.” The article launched an intense campaign against sexual harassment at universities, but the many facts in it were deemed to be false.
