Supreme Court upholds Obamacare

On Thursday, the Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in favor of the Affordable Care Act, rejecting the claim by the opposition that it limits tax credits in states that have their own health insurance markets. This is the second time the Supreme Court has upheld the healthcare system that gives aid to Americans to help them pay for insurance. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote the opinion in favor of the law, alongside the four liberal Justices and Anthony Kennedy, who did not support the Affordable Care Act in the 2012 case. The opposing Justices and many Republicans in Congress expressed their disapproval of the decision, saying that the Supreme Court has taken too much power in shaping the legislation.
