Schedule for Pope Francis’s Sept. U.S. trip revealed

The Vatican has released the itinerary for Pope Francis when he visits the United States in September. After spending a few days in Cuba, the pope will arrive in Washington, D.C. on September 22. During his stay in the nation’s capital, he will speak with President Obama in the White House and will become the first pope to address Congress. On September 23, Pope Francis will be presiding over a Mass at 4:15p.m. at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. There will an undetermined amount of tickets available to the public to attend this Mass, which celebrates the canonization of Junipero Serra. Pope Francis will also visit New York and Philadelphia during his trip before returning to Rome the night of September 27.
