Maryland Governor Wes Moore endorsed Prince George’s County Executive Angela Alsobrooks in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat. This is the first endorsement by Moore since taking office. Alsobrooks previously endorsed Moore during his campaign for governor.
“The world needs America’s leadership now more than ever, and the country needs Maryland’s leadership now more than ever. Angela’s a leader,” Moore said at a rally in Baltimore on Monday. Former Senate candidate Will Jawando shared his support for Alsobrooks on social media, “Today I was proud to endorse my friend Angela Alsobrooks to be Maryland’s next US Senator, along with our Governor and friend Wes Moore.”
