Donald Trump meets with Hispanic leader

On Tuesday, Republican candidate and businessman Donald Trump met with Javier Palomarez, CEO of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Trump, who was very recently criticized for his comments on Mexican immigrants, stated to Palomarez that “[he]want[s][the Hispanic vote]…” and that his [Trump’s] “name has been slandered to some extent with this audience.” A Gallup poll conducted last week showed that approximately 65% of all Hispanics surveyed had a negative opinion of Trump; despite this negativity, Trump still seeks to court Hispanic voters for his presidential run.
