Comedian Chris Rock announced on Twitter on Wednesday that he would be hosting the Academy Awards for a second time, in 2016. His first hosting, the 77th Oscar awards in 2005, was praised by many critics as being confrontational and realistic to self, thought it was also criticized for jokes considered by some as harsh.  “Comedian, actor, writer, producer, director, documentarian — he’s done it all. He’s going to be a phenomenal Oscar host!” Academy Awards producers David Hill and Reginald Hudlin said of Rock’s 2016 hosting in a statement.
