Carnegie Hall chairman to resign

Ronald Perelman, who became chairman of Carnegie Hall earlier this year, told other board members on Thursday of his resignation in October. The financier accused Carnegie Hall’s executive and artistic director Clive Gillinson of having “a troubling lack of transparency” and became frustrated at the delay of an investigation into his concerns about the hall’s governance. A person familiar with the issue stated that at the board meeting where Perelman stated that he would not be running for reelection, the board said that it would investigate the concerns.
