An explosion was reported on Wednesday night that sparked a fire at a townhouse. The fire has since spread to neighboring homes. According to Howard County Fire and EMS, witnesses reported hearing a explosion along the 12000 block of Sleepy Horse Lane. At least one person, a Baltimore Gas and Electric employee, has been injured. Crews are conducting preliminary and secondary searches for those injured.
