“Adam-12” and “Route 66” star Martin Milner dies

Actor Martin Milner died on Monday at age 83. Milner’s illustrious career spanned over fifty years, from “Dragnet” to “Murder, She Wrote.” However, he is most famous for his starring roles in “Route 66” and “Adam-12.” In the 1960-64 “Route 66,” Milner tackled social issues and addressed the rise of the American car culture and interstate highway system as he played the restless Tod Stiles. In “Adam-12,” Milner starred with Kent McCord as LAPD officers Pete Malloy and Jim Reed, respectively.
