New York Police reported on Thursday morning that a man is in custody in the decades-old case of the disappearance of 6-year-old Etan Patz, nearly 33 years to the day since the little boy went missing in downtown Manhattan. John Miller, a senior correspondent to CBS News, reported on “CBS News This Morning” that the man New York Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said made comments “implicating himself” to investigators, was Pedro Hernandez, a storekeeper in the neighborhood where Patz disappeared.

Hernandez reportedly made admissions about his involvement in Patz’s disappearance on Wednesday to investigators in Camden, New Jersey; however, everything he allegedly confessed were details available in books and media reports, according to Miller. New York police expect to give further information on the development of the case later on Thursday. Hernandez has not been charged in the case.
