Gas prices set to drop this winter

Gas prices are set to drop dramatically in the coming weeks, with a immediate change to happen next Monday when gas companies switch their supply from summer to winter blends. The change means there will be more of a supply of gas, causing prices to drop. Prices are set to drop between .25 and .50 cents a gallon in the next week.

“We’ve got high crude prices,” Tom Kloza, who is the chief analyst for the Oil Price Information Service, says. “We will see some price drops, but we are dropping from numbers at Labor Day that are higher than we have ever seen.” Gas prices are expected to be around 3.25 by December, unless unforeseen damage to supply occurs.
