A report by the state of Florida’s Department of Children and Families determined that Casey Anthony is responsible for the death of her two-year-old daughter. The department concluded that Anthony “is the caregiver responsible for the verified maltreatments of death, threatened harm and failure to protect: in her daughter’s death a month after Anthony was acquitted of her murdering her child in the first degree by a jury.
No further action will be conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office. Said Orange County Capt. Angelo Nieves, “This closes out the DCF case, and it does not create additional follow-up on our part.”
