The Seattle, Washington suspect reportedly responsible for five fatal shootings died on Wednesday evening, several hours after he shot himself in the head at the end of a five-hour manhunt, according to police. CNN affiliates in Seattle identified the shooter as Ian Stawicki. Authorities believe Stawicki was behind both the shootings at a coffeehouse in the city’s University District and the death of a woman near downtown about a half-hour later, police say.

In total, the gunman shot six people, leaving five dead and one in critical condition. Two men were found dead at the coffeehouse, Café Racer. CNN affiliate KIRO-TV reported that both men were members of the local folk band, God’s Favorite Beefcake. A man and a woman at the café were taken to a hospital where they later died. A fifth victim at the café was listed in critical condition on Wednesday evening, but police say he is not expected to survive. The second shooting left one woman dead in what police believed was a possible carjacking about four miles away. Assistant Police Chief Jim Pugel said detectives “feel very confident that unfortunately, these are all connected.”
