Bus aide charged with robbery and theft

A school bus aide has been charged with stealing money and bagged lunches from preschool-aged children in New Jersey. Millville police arrested 33-year-old Rosa Rios after watching surveillance camera footage of her rummaging through students’ backpacks. Authorities first reviewed the footage because the bus driver complained that someone had stolen $400 from her. There is the possibility that Rios was involved in that theft as well. The Sheppard Bus Company says that Rios is no longer affiliated with their firm. She had been employed at the company for about seven years. Rios was charged Friday with robbery and theft. She is currently being held on a $70,000 bail at the Cumberland County Jail.
