Subway spokesman Jared Fogle to plead guilty to paying for sex acts with minors, child porn

Subway’s longtime spokesman Jared Fogle has agreed to plead guilty to paying for sex acts with minors and receiving underage pornography. Authorities accused him of paying prostitutes to connect him with minors, some as young as 14 or 15. According to the agreement proposed by the prosecutors, Fogle will have to pay $1.4 million in restitution to 14 minors, register as a sex offender, and undergo treatment for sexual disorders. The government agreed not to seek a sentence of more than 12 and a half years in prison, but it is possible that he will get a longer sentence. Jared Fogle had a very successful career as Subway’s spokesperson, but his partnership with the chain ended in July after his home was raided by the FBI. In May, the head of Jared’s charity organization Russell Taylor was arrested on child pornography charges.
