Steven Spielberg predicts death of superhero movies

The director of this year’s summer blockbuster “Jurassic World” and classics like “E.T.” and “Jaws” recently stated audiences are losing interest in the superhero movies.  “We were around when the Western died, and there will be a time when the superhero movie goes the way of the Western,” Steven Spielberg said. However, Spielberg does add later that there could be another time for the superhero movie to return, though the causes for worry for fans of recent Marvel and DC Films are few.  “Captain America: Civil War,” “Deadpool,”  “Suicide Squad,” and “Batman v Superman” are all scheduled to be released next year.
