New police commissioner achieves early success

Just days after Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake fired Police Commissioner Anthony Batts, interim commissioner Kevin Davis has announced several recent arrests. Davis revealed in a news conference on Wednesday that police have made four arrests related to homicides within the past 48 hours, as well as five arrests in other shootings in the past two weeks. Davis also said that ballistics tests on seized guns have linked the weapons to crimes dating as far back as 2003.
