A fire that severely damaged two homes near Hagerstown, causing around $330,000 in damage, was deliberate.  The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office said that the Thursday fire was set in a trash can by an unknown individual that then spread to the two houses near the can. The agency also says that the occupants of the homes are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross and family members.
