Former police civilian employee Karen Usher was found guilty on Wednesday of two counts of assaulting a female prisoner. Prosecutors say that Usher handcuffed the woman before pushing her and swinging a magnetometer at her head, attempting also to kick at her. The event occurred in 2013, when Usher was working as a technician at the Central Cellblock. The 50-year-old is scheduled to be sentenced on November 19 and could face up to one year in prison.
