People in D.C. will again have to show a good reason for carrying a concealed handgun until the law in argued in court. Last month, a federal judge struck down the “good reason” requirement, but issued a stay on the decision this Monday. This means that the District can continue to enforce the law. According to a spokeswoman, Police Chief Cathy Lanier will enforce the requirement and decide who gets a concealed-carry permit.
