On Friday, Prince George’s County police announced that they have seized almost 1,700 packets of synthetic drugs, with an approximate street value of $33,000. The substance was called “crack on steroids,” and was cited as being 100 times more powerful than marijuana while also being packaged with “cartoon figures and benign names.” “Is it a huge problem in Prince George’s County? We don’t believe so,” Maj. Jason Bogue of the Prince George’s County Police Department said. “But the reason we’re doing this is to help get ahead of the problem.”
