Man charged with human trafficking

Thirty-two-year-old Bennie Veasey was convicted of human trafficking along with prostitution charges Thursday.

Veasey reportedly coerced a 19-year-old girl into prostituting herself and handing all of her profits over to him. The woman was discovered in April during a Baltimore County Police sting operation.

According to prosecutors Veasey was extorting the woman and using the money towards lawyer fees from a previous rape charge.
