Entertainment – Dr. Luke stops Kesha from performing at Billboard Music Awards
Kemosabe Records, the record company owned by music producer Dr. Luke, has rescinded its initial approval for Kesha to perform at the Billboard Music Awards show, according to Billboard. Kesha had planned to perform Bob Dylan’s “It Ain’t Me, Babe,” a tribute to one of her “favorite songwriters of all time.” Kesha has been trying to get released from her contract with Kemosabe Records based on accusations that Dr. Luke drugged, emotionally abused and sexually assaulted her. Dr. Luke has denied her allegations. “I was never going to use a picture of him, speak of him or allude to my legal situation in any way,” Kesha wrote in an Instagram post. “I simply wanted to sing a song I love to honor an artist I have always looked up to. thank u all for the continued support.”
