Bill proposed to raise D.C. minimum wage

Recent legislation proposes to raise minimum wages in Washington D.C.

While Mayor Vincent Gray recently vetoed a bill that would mandate Wal-Mart to raise employee wages to at least $12.50 an hour, this new bill seeks to gradually raise all minimum wages over the course of two years from $8.25 an hour to $10.50 an hour.

Candidate for mayor, Tommy Wells, is set to announce the bill Monday afternoon.
