After Taylor Swift pulls album, Apple Music changes policy

After Taylor Swift’s open letter to Apple about why she pulled her album from the new music streaming service, the company has amended their policy to appease her. Swift expressed disappointment that artists would not be paid during a customer’s three-month trial period, specifically for new and lesser-known musicians who would especially benefit from the money. Swift said that she would not allow her hit album ‘1989’ to stream on the service while this was the policy. On Twitter, an Apple executive announced that artists will now be paid for streaming during the three-month trial period.
