15-year-old charged with murder of elderly Prince George’s woman

A 15-year-teen was charged with first-degree murder by Prince George’s County police for the murder of a 92-year-old woman in Forestville. Thelma Elaine Steele was found dead in her home Tuesday morning, apparently beaten and stabbed in what appeared to be a robbery.

According to Cpl. Evan Baxter, police found a weapon at the scene and that the teen, William Roger Fitts, lived in the same neighborhood as the woman. Fitts is to be tried as an adult.
