Travis County District Judge Julie Kocurek has been hospitalized after being shot outside her home in Austin, Texas at around 10:15 pm on Friday, said Austin police lieutenant Lee Rogers. There are currently no major suspects in the investigation, as the shooter left in the darkness. The judge was taken to University Medical Center-Brackenridge five minutes after a 911 call, and though the injuries are serious Kocurek is in stable condition.
