Stephanie Rawlings-Blake challenged as mayor

Senator Catherine Pugh and Councilman Carl Stokes both announced their candidacy for the mayor of Baltimore over Labor Day weekend in a pool that already contains former mayor Sheila Dixon and current mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. “I eat, drink and sleep the city,” Pugh says. Stokes focuses on education. “[Education]’s not working for kids who can’t find a good education it’s not working for kids who left school and are unemployed and because they went to poor schools, they don’t have skills,” he states.

The primary is set for April 26.
