Three people — two civilians and one police officer– were killed in a shooting at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado on Friday. The suspected gunman was arrested after a six-hour standoff, but investigations are ongoing as the suspect’s motives are unknown and it is unclear as to why Planned Parenthood was targeted. “We share the concerns of many Americans that extremists are creating a poisonous environment that feeds domestic terrorism in this country. We will never back away from providing care in a safe, supportive environment that millions of people rely on and trust,” President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Vicki Cowart stated after the shooting.
