Man arrested after shoes link him to crime

A man wearing a distinctive pair of shoes has been charged with robbery after Anne Arundel County police detained him for shoplifting. Officers were called to target in Laurel on Wednesday when security staff detained a man they claimed was shoplifting. An officer noticed the man wearing orange and white shoes, similar to those worn by a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint in Laurel on Wednesday. Dave Benissan, 23, of Laurel, has been charged with armed robbery and other offenses.
