Funeral, protests held for Sandra Bland

A funeral has been held in Chicago for Sandra Bland, a 28-year-old African American woman who died in police custody in Texas. Her death occurred three days after she was pulled over for a minor traffic violation and then arrested for allegedly assaulting the police officer. Authorities say her death was a suicide by hanging, but her family and friends have questioned this conclusion.  Her death is being investigated as a homicide.   The incident has sparked protests in Texas and New Jersey.
