Protesters respond to Israeli-Palestinian violence

Police stepped in Thursday night to make sure rival protests remained peaceful and orderly. The protests, held in front of the White House, were in response to recent violence between Israelis and Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. Groups of mostly college students assembled in support of both sides, and at times exchanged shouts although police presence ensured safety and separated the protesters.
