Former Putin adviser found dead in hotel room
Former aide to Russian President Vladimir Putin and media executive Mikhail Lesin was found dead at age 57 of a heart attack in his DuPont Circle Hotel room on November 5. Lesin was the Russian press minister from 1999 to 2004 and the presidential media adviser from 2004 to 2009 before becoming the senior executive at Russia’s largest media holding company. Lesin best known for founding the English-language media agency Russia Today, commonly known as RT.
