Drug-smuggling tunnel raided between Tijuana and San Diego
A newly-built “super tunnel” was raided this week as part of a six-month investigation that began last May. The tunnel was very sophisticated, stretching the length of eight football fields and including a railway, light and electricity, and metal support beams. Officials have confiscated at least $6 million worth of marijuana and have arrested over 20 people in the endpoints of San Diego and Tijuana in connection to the smuggling.
