Clouded leopard euthanized

A 13-year-old clouded leopard at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo has died. The zoo announced Wednesday that the male clouded leopard, known as Tai, was euthanized on Tuesday. Veterinarians were conducting a routine exam when they discovered the leopard had numerous life-threatening tumors. Tai had lived on the zoo’s Asia Trail since it opened in 2006. The zoo also has a female clouded leopard named Mook.
