Cheetah at National Zoo euthanized

A 10-year-old cheetah at the National Zoo was euthanized this week after a surgery showed debilitating liver and kidney deterioration. Surgery showed that Zabini, a male cheetah, had hepatic and pancreatic disease. Zabini lived in the Cheetah Conservation Station with his brother Granger and two other adult male cheetahs.
