The actor was most famous for his role as a small-town sheriff on the popular television program “The Andy Griffith Show.” Griffith was buried in a family cemetery just five hours after he passed away. The certificate also noted that Griffith had suffered from coronary artery disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia for many years.
