WASHINGTON, D.C. – First case of the measles confirmed in Washington, D.C. at Union Station and Adams Morgan

The Department of Health in Washington, D.C. has officially confirmed that there has been a positive case of measles reported in a person who visited various locations in the District while in a contagious state . This unidentified person traveled through Washington, D.C. within the last week and potential exposure sites have been outlined by the Washington, D.C. Department of Health as: Amtrak Northeast Regional 175 Train Southbound: March 19, 7:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., Amtrak Concourse, Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Ave, NE: March 19, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and MedStar Urgent Care Adams Morgan, 1805 Columbia Road, NW: March 22, 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Anyone who is not vaccinated for measles who traveled to the potential exposure sites during the rented dates and times, is asked to contact their health care provider immediately. The District health alert comes weeks after health officials in Maryland confirmed three measles cases across Howard and Prince George’s counties.
