NATIONAL NEWS – Chemical leak in California, risk of explosion causes thousands to evacuate

Tens of thousands of residents had to evacuate their homes in Southern California due to a toxic chemical leak. It was discovered that a tank was overheating at a chemical plant in Garden Grove. A leak was discovered, which released the building pressure, avoiding the worst-case scenario – a massive vapor explosion. The Orange County Fire Authority said Monday that although the worst-case scenario has been avoided, it is still not safe for residents to return.
