D.C. man sentenced to 13-plus years for multiple bank robberies
A District of Columbia man has been sentenced to more than 13 years in prison for robbing five banks in Virginia and Maryland. Dallas Dunmore was sentenced last Thursday in federal court in Greenbelt, Maryland. The prosecutors dropped other charges in exchange for Dunmore pleading guilty. The result was twenty years as the maximum sentence. They also stated that the 48-year-old and two other men robbed or attempted to rob multiple banks two years ago. Proceeds from the five robberies totaled over $5,000. Dunmore’s accomplices have also pleaded guilty to bank robbery. One was sentenced to six years in prison and the other will be sentenced July 2015.
